Ibarretxe, Sandra


At the age of seven she begun her music education at the Conservatory of Leioa with the clarinet teachers Juan Casanova and Carlos García. In 2012 she graduated from Musikene, Conservatory of Basque Country having as teachers José Luis Estellés, Antony Pay, Carlos Gil, Sergio Barranco and Henri Bok. She also studied with Asko Heiskanen at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki (Erasmus program), with Isaac Rodríguez at Liceu Conservatori in Barcelona, with Michel Lethiec at CNRR de Nice and finished her studies of master and postgraduate with Andreas Sundén at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

As well, she has joined master class with many famous clarinetists such as Yehuda Gilad, Martin Fröst, Joan Enric Lluna, Olli Leppäniemi, Christoffer Sundqvist, Kari Kriikku, Harri Mäki, among others.

She has been member of the Youth Orchestra of Basque Country, the Maribor International Orchestra in Slovenia and the Youth Orchestra of France.

In 2015 she took part of the premiere of `Genesis´, a project by Martin Fröst, combining music and dance, together with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. The same project was done with Göteborg Symphony Orchestra and with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.

She has played with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera in Stockholm, Dalasinfoniettan, Västerås Sinfonietta, Nordiska Kammarorkestern and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, among others.

As a chamber and orchestra musician Sandra Ibarreche has played in several european countries under the baton of prestigious conductors such as Daniel Harding, Manfred Honeck, Jorma Panula, Leif Segerstam, David Zinman, Daniel Blendulf, among others.

From 2018 she is a member of Blåsarsymfonikerna in Stockholm, on clarinet and eflat position.

She has performed as soloist with Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, playing Mozart Clarinet Concerto and the Second Clarinet Concerto by Oscar Navarro with Blåsarsymfonikerna in Stockholm.


Curso de Composición de Aureliano Cattaneo

El compositor italiano Aureliano Cattaneo impartirá un Curso de Composición de Música Contemporánea los días 26, 27 y 28 de octubre. Tendrá lugar en Musikene, de 16:00 a 20:00 cada día. El plazo de inscripción finaliza el 19 de octubre y debe hacerse a través del email
